My workspace failured saving child records to a table in MSSQL inside a custom transformer named "SaveRunStops",but the parent records was committed to the database. How can I guarantee that all parent and child records are in the same transaction?
I would appreciate any help you can give me
There are quite a few approaches you can take.the easiest is to set a very large transaction interval on your database writer. Then any load failure will result in a role back of the entire data set.Other approaches are discussed in the tutorial:Let the Database Do the Work.Hopefully this gives yo some ideas on how to accomplish this with your environment.
Based on discussions with several of our users, using staging tables seems to be the preferred approach to critical data loads. The staging tables can be validated through SQL or another FME workspace and,if they validate, they can be loaded into the production tables.
