FME Workbench fails with an error message about a missing entry point in the xerces-c_2_7.dll when attempting to get a list of tables in the Geodatabase (ArcSDE) reader.This only occurs with the direct connection method of accessing the Geodatabase.
The xerces-c_2_7.dll is located in the ArcGIS directory.If a second copy also exists in the Windows/System32 folder which is different to the one in the ArcGIS directory this failure can occur.
One of the following should solve this problem:
1 - Rename or remove the copy in the Windows/System32 folder.
or
2 - Add the location of the bin folder in your ArcGIS install into the beginning of your PATH environment variable - e.g.C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\Bin\;
