This article assumes you have already extended FME into ArcGIS and you can see the FME Connections node in the ArcCatalog tree.The FME Interoperability Tools cannot be found among the tools in ArcToolBox when using ArcCatalog in ArcGIS.
To confirm that FME is actually extended into ArcGIS,go toCustomize > Extensions.You should seeFME Extension for ArcGISchecked.If you do not see the FME Extension in ArcGIS at all please consultExtending applications using FME Desktop.
When you extend ArcGIS with FME the 'FME Interoperability Tools' only show up in the Catalog Tree.The FME tools are not automatically added to the ArcToolBox.
To find the FME Interoperability tools:
1.In the ArcCatalog tree if you expandToolboxes > System Toolboxesyou may see the FME Interoperability Tools.
2.You may need to manually add the toolbox following these steps: i) Open an ArcToolBox window by clicking on the button showing the ArcToolBox symbol.i) Right-click on ArcToolbox,choose Add Toolbox ii) Nagivate to System Toolboxes and selectFME Interoperability Tools.tbx
